About Village News
The idea of the Village News came about when Jane wanted to know more about the locals and more about the History of the area. This publication gave us a platform to promote business, share local stories, and document the local history through the amazing work of Yeronga Resident & Historian, Dr Michael Macklin.
We create the publication at no cost to business and cover those costs as our way of giving back to the community. Locals have shared their love of receiving a ‘hard copy’ in the mail as they no longer receive a local paper, and the Village News gives them the local ‘gossip’ they lost. The name, Village News, came from the true essence of our local area, fondly known as the Village. We are a community that support each other, we are fiercely local.
We look forward to continuing to share stories through the Village News and would love to hear from you if you have an interesting story or a business to spotlight. Click here and use our contact form to get in touch!
